Victor Vasarely - was a Hungarian born, French artist. Working as a graphic artist in the 1930s he created his first Op Art piece developing his geometric abstract style over the next few decades. He perfected a visual third dimension within a two dimensional media using geometric progressions. His optical images became part of popular culture in the 1960s and 70s influencing fashion, architecture, computer science and many other everyday concepts. A modern master, his works are owned by many of the world's great museums. Born 1906 Died 1997.
